Who is Jimmy Angel? James Oliver Tyler was a teenage boy the mob discovered in a dusty record store in Memphis, Tennessee. He looked like Elvis, but couldn't sing a lick and had no ambition of being a rockstar. This didn't matter, the mob knew they could turn him into one. Badly needing a job, Jimmy agreed to leave for New York with these "slick men in suits" and within a year, they turned James Oliver Tyler into Jimmy Angel. With this "strong arm" leading the way, Jimmy became a 1950’s teen Idol and for years, America loved Jimmy, earning him several Gold records with appearances in thousands of teen magazines. He had apartments, cars, woman, money and a large bodyguard nicknamed "Fat Philly". Jimmy even fell in love with Camille De Crescenza, "The Fox of Besonhurst". They were made for one another and planned to marry. Jimmy was on top of a world he never dreamed of knowing, but now, he never wanted to know anything else. He was a rock and roller, through and through. Then, with a dark twist of fate, Jimmy found himself at center stage of Brooklyn’s bloodiest mob war and a named suspect in a Federal Investigation. He lost everything. The apartments, the cars and the money. He even lost his Camille. In fear for his life, Jimmy was forced to flee, far away from America, to a place where the fifties never died. The land of the rising sun. In Japan, Jimmy has sang everywhere from strip clubs to the world series. His perseverance is respected and his music is admired. He has become known as "Boppersan - The Mighty Rock 'n' Roller". He could live out the rest of his days in Japan, but he doesn't want to do that. Now, over seventy years old, no wife, no kids and still "rockin' strong", James Oliver Tyler a.k.a Jimmy Angel, ex-teen idol, is coming back to America and he wants to earn her love again. Can he?
